“C’era” is a 1.20m candle created from my memories of my Grandma. Each layer of the candle shows a photo, from her birth to her death. The photos start blurry and slowly become clearer to reflect what I know and what I remember. The candle burned during a 10-day exhibit in a palace in Milan. Once lit, the candle can’t be lit again, because, like life, it can stop at any moment. As the candle burns, the colours from the photos melt and mix to create a new circle of life at the end.
